Size 6 Double Point Knitting Needles
Worsted Weight Yarn
Ribbon for ties.
Notes:
Gauge is not important.
Thes bags are knit in the round, but I just started knitting
and "joined" the top edge after I knit them. Just do as you prefer.
My bags finished sizes are:
54 stitches: size 8 needles; 6" X 6"
54 stitches: size 6 needles; 5&1/4" wide X 5&1/2" tall.
Gift Card Bag: 3" wide X 4&1/2" tall.
Itty Bitty Bag: 2&1/4" wide by 2&1/2" tall.
I knit 2 bags with 54 stitches.
For the larger one I used size 8 needles
Biggest Bag
54 stitches
Knit 4 rounds.
Knit 1, knit 2 together, yarn over around.
Knit around, knitting yarn overs as a stitch.
Knit until desired length.
Finish with a three needle bind off.
Embellish as desired, or not!
Gift Card Bag
30 stitches.
Knit 3 rounds.
Knit 2, knit 2 together, yarn over around.
Knit around, knitting yarn overs as a stitch.
Knit until desired length.
Finish with a three needle bind off.
Embellish as desired, or not!
Itty Bitty Bag
20 stitches
Knit 2 rounds.
Knit 2 together, yarn over around.
Knit around, knitting yarn overs as a stitch.
Knit until desired length.
Finish with a three needle bind off.
